I enjoyed my time reviewing resumes with WSO. It's a great way to make some extra cash while giving back to the community. You get to see some impressive resumes and really make an impact in the lives of people who are trying to break into the industry. -- Justin

boo only ibd experience :P

no attention to detail gets you auto-dinged ;-)

At least 1 year of professional experience in Investment Banking or other financial field, IB and/or PE background preferred

Are you really harping on attention to detail when you wrote IB twice in the same list?

Have you considered the impact this has on the real-estate industry?

what about a business school resume review service as well as entering analysts

We have many resume reviewers from top schools (HBS, Wharton, Booth, etc), so if a client would like this, it's not a problem to service it.

The business school resume service might be worthwhile, but then who would review your resume .... I'm guessing it would have to be admissions consultants or someone close to that space. Unless a resume targeted at ibanking and b-school is virtually the same thing.

Andy, the b-school resume review could be popular if there is some set secret sauce that you and Patrick might know of. Because I have no clue what these kinds of resumes should and should not look like.

Then again, I could be an ardtard if any ole resume could get you in to M7.

By the way, this is pretty cool opportunity indeed if you would like "to make some extra cash while giving back to the community". Would have definitely been doing it in case I was in IB.

And! Good-looking CV is a big plus, that's no doubt

Assuming that being 6 months into IBD stint is insufficient to meet requirements?

Oct 12, 2014

correct...we want several years of experience at least. Thanks :-)

You should update this post and the main review page to encourage non-banking people (coughrealestatecough) to go through the process as well,"

You want just IB experience? What about trading?

Has there been any movement on the B-School Resume Review option? I'm applying in Round 1 and I'd be interested in a review from that perspective.
