Donald J. Trump
Are we allowed to use historic figures?
George H.W. Bush's resume is one of the most absurd I can think of.
Highschool at Philips Academy where he was president of the senior class and the community fund raising group and captain of both the soccer and baseball teams.
Naval aviator in WWII. Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross award after being shot down and surviving.
Yale undergrad. Fraternity president. baseball captain, and Skull & Bones society.
Successful oil entrepreneur
Congressman
Ambassador to the United Nations
RNC Chairman
Head of U.S. Liaison Office in China
CIA Director
Two-term Vice President of the United States
One-term President of the United States
Tons of charity work post-presidency along with Bill Clinton
guy i found on linkedin: - Undergrad Yale - MS Oxford - MPhil Cambridge - MBA HBS - Yale Law
THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS RESUME OF ALL TIME
that guy better be making like $2 million a year to get any kind of ROI on his education
according to linkedin he did all of this in succession so hasn't worked full time at all yet and is finishing up his yale law degree this year, he also went to a target high school - harvard westlake. but his internships are quite prestigious i must say.
99.9% chance he’s a fuckhead who can dick around getting degrees until he is 35 because he comes from family money. He’ll never actually utilize any of those degrees and he’ll be trading bitcoin or some other bullshit full time in 6 months.
name???? is that the guy with the education non-profit that he's been doing since like 15?
How does one afford this
Rich dad
Bill Bradley
Bradley has a beast of a resume:
Princeton undergrad - named top U.S. Amateur Athlete Drafted by New York Knicks - didn't sign to take a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford Dropped out of Oxford two months shy of graduation to join the Air Force Reserves Went back to the Knicks and became a Hall of Famer Became US Senator for NJ for 18 years After politics became an MD at Allen & Co and special advisor to McKinsey
Bradley is one of the most qualified people to lose the Presidency. He ran in 2000 and got destroyed by Gore in the primary, not winning a single state.
Thank u
Robert Mueller is impressive too:
yep.
Excellent golfer too. I know someone who knows.
Jim Simons
Thank you.
lol
Mohamed A. El-Erian his accomplishments are to long to list. Just check out his Wiki page.
Fair but I fail to see any value in what he says when being interviewed...
Same but I grew curious to see why they bring people on and he had a impressive resume
Justine Tobine
GOAT!
This is such a good thread and I'm so glad no one hit you with the GS --> BX --> HBS path:
These folks are sharp
Johnny Sims
You mean Johnny Sins?
Yes :/
Any fighter pilots or special ops
D1 athletes like andrew luck having an engineering degree from Stanford
deleted
There are a lot of high level athletes who are also just really drive/accomplished people and have succeeded off the field.
Football players who became doctors: Craig Krenzel won a natty at OSU and is now a doctor, which is pretty cool. Similarly, Myron Rolle was a Rhodes Scholar at FSU, got drafted by the Titans, and according to wiki is now a neurosurgery resident at Mass Gen (Harvard). Bill McColl, who played 8 seasons in the NFL while attending medical school at UChicago and went on to become a surgeon, had a son (Milt) who played 9 seasons in the NFL while attending med school at Stanford (and also became a doctor). There's also that math genius O lineman, forget his name.
Bill Bradley was an NBA all star and US senator. Probably a bunch of athletes turned politicians.
Eddie George (yes, that Eddie George) stars in a stage production of Chicago. I almost went to go see it but was out of town. Has an MBA too.
Roger Staubach was a super successful businessman in RE I think, sold his company for a shit ton back in the day.
Edit: I think I was wrong about Krenzel. But I was pretty sure there was some other OSU athlete who became a doctor...
Great list. You're thinking of John Urschel who was a center for the Ravens.
Urschel is INSANE. The guy was doing a freaking math Phd at MIT while playing for the Ravens. He's basically a stoic athlete genius who lives super frugally and spends his free time playing chess and doing math. Amazing guy.
Solid list.
I'd add Justin Tuck's path from Notre Dame Mendoza (graduated) --> NFL (two SB rings) --> Wharton MBA --> VP at Goldman Sachs
Roses are red Violets are blue There’s always an Asian Better than you
Case in point - Name : Yang Role : Quant at DB Known for : assisting Jared Vennett with figuring out maths which predicted the housing crisis Achievements: 1st place math competition in a China, doesn’t speak English
+1 sb thanks lol
Homer Simpson.
Among others: CEO, missionary, mayor, boxer, astronaut, inventor.
I have a median GPA from a T10 public and work in equities...I'm deff up there, don't discount my volunteer work either
Arnold Schwarzenegger
relevant bill burr bit:
He won't become president now, but if he had been born in the US, he absolutely could have about a decade ago. He was the most famous guy in America, pretty much every man looked up to Arnold Schwarzenegger. I think he's lost a lot of momentum in his old age, isn't really in the spotlight anymore.
Don't forget his mail order business that netted him enough money to get into real estate, which made him a millionaire before he ever starred in a movie.
Molly and Jeremy Bloom. Both Olympic-level skiers (Jeremy a world champion, Molly injured in qualifying but would've qualified).
Jeremy also played in NFL, went to Wharton afterward and has done some kind of successful venture/startup something or other since then.
Molly got into Harvard Law before deciding instead to shake up the underground poker world and make a movie out of it.
I think they also have a brother who's been really successful (I think in medicine) but less famous. Quite a family.
That reminds me of the Emanuel brothers:
Ezekiel: Amherst -> Oxford -> Harvard MD and PhD, very successful medical doctor
Rahm: Sarah Lawrence -> Northwestern MA -> Mayor of Chicago (not saying he did a great job but nonetheless is a huge accomplishment)
Ari: famously (fictitiously) portrayed as Ari Gold in Entourage, he became the co-CEO of WME, one of the largest talent agencies in the world
Pretty impressive group of brothers
You forgot to mention Rahm being White House Chief of Staff, which is arguably a bigger deal than being Mayor of Chicago.
Ari Emmanuel Went to macalester college
"Molly's Game" was an awesome movie. Very underrated.
HW and Bill Bradley had amazing resumes. I always thought John Kerry had some cool accomplishments as well

Lol. My friend was in his class at Stanford GSB. Was in absolute awe of him.
Surely Dwight Eisenhower is up there:
-Born in rural Kansas -Goes to West Point -Misses action in WWI, but ends up working up to the senior military ranks regardless -becomes 5-star General, commands all allied forces in Europe, liberates Western Europe -President of Columbia university -commander of nato -2 term US President in two landslide elections
Mohammed A El Erian
This dude has my utter respect. Easily could be an MD at Apollo now instead of the path he chose. He was a well respected SEAL, which in of it self is a huge accomplishment.
Exactly and still be on any Board of a company that he chooses guy definitely stays busy.
This guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonardo_da_Vinci
da Vinci "was an Italian polymath of the Renaissance whose areas of interest included invention, drawing, painting, sculpture, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, paleontology, and cartography. He has been variously called the father of palaeontology, ichnology, and architecture, and is widely considered one of the greatest painters of all time"
underrated as hell!!! everything else is kind of linear if you think about it. who cares if you went to top school, got into some investment banking/pe and then got into politics. that's impressive but not crazy. People knowing your name 500 years after you die and being recognised as the world's best (at the time) in at least 5 unrelated disciplines is much more impressive. I'll consider myself successful if I have done well in finance and something else unrelated by the time I'm 60.
.
Teddy Roosevelt had one hell of a resume.
-Harvard undergrad -Columbia Law School (dropped out into politics) -New York State Assemblyman -US Civil Service Commission -President of NYC police board -Assistant and Secretary of the Navy -Commander of the Rough Riders (rank of Colonel) -Governor of New York -Vice President -President -Accomplished author
