My recruitment consisted of two phone screens and a super day. Phone screens were much more technical than the super day. a lot of questions about the various markets- fixed income, oil, the eurozone, emerging markets, the yen, swiss francs etc. Be sure to know what the macro themes are and be able to speak briefly about all of them. In addition know what types of factors affect the makeup of a clients portfolio (age, risk appetite, strategy, etc). Super day was two separate 2:1 interviews in New York. Mainly behavioral, but they worked in a few technical questions. they asked about markets, where i would invest a clients money, etc. Your standard asset management interview. I was interviewing for a market facing role - I would assume client facing would potentially be less technical and more behavioral. I received an offer after a week or so of the super day via phone call and was given about two weeks to accept.
