JP Morgan Corporate RE
Does anyone know anything about JP Morgan and their Corproate Real Estate? I have been seeing tons of opportunities lately for them and wasn’t curious. I realize corp RE is different but they obvsiously have a massive portfolio of owned buildings and the name recognition can be good I think.
Bump
Can you give more info on the exact position they are marketing? Could me a number of things that fall under "corporate real estate".
JPM does Asset management on huge building to Private equity investing in their investments arm.
Not talking about JPM AM.
This is in regards to their corporate office owned assets in their corporate real estate portfolio.
Something like this..

The JPM GRE team is similar to the MSREI/GS RE Direct from what I understand. I am more familiar with the MSREI team but have worked with the JPM team as well these teams are basically private equity vehicles for HNW/Pension Funds/Soverign to invest in that then invest in real estate on their behalf. They are led by an MD by region who typically is getting a piece of every promote from what I understand and they are pretty active with every big deal that is in their region. If you work there you will quickly figure out who they like/Dislike and developers and why. This position would not take an AM role in any form but is run more like a PE Acq Fund. I would say it one of the better places to start as BX has a lot of people who come from these groups.
Back in the day, I interviewed for a BB corporate RE position when in college to see what the corporate real estate arm of BB was like. Main thing to remember is that the position is usually associated with the back office, so it is not fast paced. They were more or less asset managers and managed the bank’s locations and corporate offices. Anything from office upgrades to lighting repairs went through the corporate RE division. These locations would typically be slated for upgrades or have repair requests submitted to the corporate RE office. For repairs, the corporate RE office would then fill the request and arrange for a repair company to be contacted. Anyways, that’s what I remember from the interview. I also had a friend who worked in a corporate RE position at a BB and he mainly reviewed leases. Things may have changed since then, so take it with a grain of salt. I decided it wasn’t for me.
