JP Morgan hires over 2000 ex convicts
Read an article that says JP Morgan hired over 2000 ex-convicts last year. Apparently they have a "second chance" hiring program going on. I'll post the link below. I was wondering, which jails would be good targets. I was thinking United States Penitentiary Atlanta? Let me know what you guys think!
Im assuming most of them are going to Chase rather than JPM
I’d say that is a safe assumption - from what I’ve read, this is aimed at putting people into basic entry level positions, most likely in the consumer bank or back office. We’re not going to see people placed into front office IB from this anytime soon.
JPM actually has more BO roles than the Chase side of the business.
They'll probably end up at both, however the S&T / IBD divisions that sit in JPM have quite a vast amount of Product / Financial Control, Ops, Business Mgmt roles.
inb4 mass JPM fires for insider trading shortly after this program is founded
this is a good program, anyone who disagrees given our country's historically biased legal system might actually be racist
Yeah? Well, if you disagree with me, then you're a racist!
Agree with me or you're _____!!!!
ADX Florence is a top target
Seeing an analyst in IBD, wearing an ankle monitor bracelet lol.
might set a dangerous precedent for us non former convicts.
lol legit...
Can anyone can provide acceptance rates and required sat/act scores for target, semi target and non target jails ?
Yes! That info would be much appreciated.
Target jails are Manhattan Correctional Center (where Jeffrey Epstein was),
I would put Alcatraz, but that is closed
Taft Correctional Institution (The Wolf of Wall Street)
Lovelock Correctional Center (OJ Simpson was here- In the 1990s, he tried to break into a more prestigious target jail in Los Angeles, but was unable to do so)
wonder if their hand was forced because of their private prison business
Serial killers have the highest propensity to making it to their c-suite. Imagine having someone who made a lamp shade out of pizza delivery guys orchestrating a hostile takeover of your company?
Jokes aside, this is good news. The US justice/prison system is one of the worst in the developed world.
I see this all the time and the next step will be outsourcing back office, middle office to Bangalore India where they can hire 5 headcount vs 1 in Texas to do the same job.
