Just got offer - Need advice
Hi,
I just got a offer to work as a Asset Management Analyst at a small bank, aprox. $1 billion in assets. The bank mostly works with buy/selling loans and origination loans. It is a top 50 SBA lender. The division I will be working in IS NOT located in NYC, although it is in a relatively expensive city. The hours should be 9 - 5. The salary offered was $50k for first year. I just have a few questions for everyone.
-
I feel like my salary is too low? I put $50k for "salary requirements" but when I negotiate after a year what should I be asking for?
-
Do firms of this size typically offer a bonus?
-
How can I transition from this bank to a BB eventually? My goal right now is to do 3 years as a analyst then do my MBA at a top 10 school, is this a good idea and does this maximize my earnings potential?
-
Should I pursue a MBA or CFA? which one will help me get a job at a BB
I appreciate any other advice that you guys may have,
Thanks!
