Kanye and Trump: Bromance OF THE CENTURY?

Earlier today, Kanye tweeted out a tweetstorm of his support for Trump, saying that the two shared "dragon energy" and the "mob can't make me not love him." He also criticized Obama, saying that "Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed." Trump tweeted back that he was "very cool." Kanye has recently been tweeting out philosophical musings, like "New ideas will no longer be condemned by the masses. We are on the frontier of massive change. Starting from breaking out of our mental prisons." What do you monkeys think abut this new development and what it says about our society as a whole? Is Kanye a CREATIVE GENIUS who defies the labels placed on him by society? Or are they both just HUGE FUCKING IDIOTS who've completely gone off the deep end?

I wonder if you thought the same when he said "George Bush doesn't like black people". Dude is purposefully bombastic for attention that he doesn't really need (his music provides more than enough attention). In that sense, his choice of spouse is perfect (in the attention whore sense).

The amount of people completely losing their shit over this is hilarious. In addition, the absolute state of “journalism” in this country is jarring in an equal but opposite manner.

Example - current-day “talent” and depth-of-thought at VF: https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2018/04/kanye-west-is-making-kris-jenn…

If I could be granted one wish in my entire life, it would be for Hitchens to still be alive. We live in a truly ridiculous time.

Kanye is the best musician of the 21st century, imo. With that said, he's always been a real life troll. I generally don't care what he has to say. He's producing Nas' next album and releasing two albums this year (one collaboration album with Cudi and a solo album). As long as those projects are a vast improvement on The Life of Pablo, I'll be happy.

I'm not sure how much of Kanye's thoughts are pro-Trump as they are sick and tired of the same old song and dance in Washington. He did say something along the lines of, "Obama was in office 8 years and Chicago didn't change." And he's probably seeing the identity politics the left pushes and thinking, "wow, I think I should be allowed to think how I want not how I'm told."

I'm tentatively happy to see him and Chance the Rapper encouraging people to think freely. But I wouldn't be so bold to claim I know exactly what Kanye is thinking.

If you think about it they are a natural couple regarding the most important social traits the whole world attributes to them. ;) Ofc it was all about attention, otherwise Kayne would not have touched the gun saftey brouhaha just 2 days later. There is also a not totally crazy theory that he has got some problems with the IRS which need solving. Shrewd businessman.
