Kellogg Certificate Program

For those of you who went to Northwestern or anyone who is familiar with the Kellogg Certificate Programs offered to undergrads, does it make a large difference in recruiting? What are your thoughts on the program (I am interested in the financial economics program) ? The program is offered to students in both junior and senior year if you are accepted, and I would most likely be applying for senior year due to the difficulty is scheduling the prerequisite courses in one year (I would be transferring to Northwestern as a Sophomore). If I attend the school, is the certificate program necessary to securing the crucial Junior internship for investment banking? My other option is to stay in at UMich Ross and enter their BBA program which I have already been accepted to for fall 2017 and beyond.
