Keys to a Successful Military Transition
Hi all,
I am currently serving in the US Army as an Infantry Officer. I have just over 12 months until my commitment is fulfilled. I am a graduate of The University of Georgia with a degree in Finance and a 3.4 GPA. I also graduated from Ranger School, Airborne, and Air Assault.
What can I do now to best set myself up for success in the Investment Banking world? I am not opposed to transitioning straight to an associate position or seeking a MBA.
With my years of non-finance work, I am rusty on most of what I have learned in school, but I am sure that I can quickly refresh my knowledge. Do I need to start self studying, and if so what products should I use?
If I were to pursue an associate position, how much will my military experience relate? What companies are best for transitioning military members?
Lastly, if you were me, what would you do?
Thanks!
