KKR interview for off-cycle internship
I'm interviewing for a part-time fall internship at KKR in their Client and Partner Group. The internship description tells me that my responsibilities include:
"- Client Relationship Management (“CRM”) system administration/management
- Support client relationship and fund raising activities
- Financial and market research (eg Thomson Financial, Capital IQ, Bloomberg)
- Collaboration with various internal divisions"
Quick Google search hasn't told me much more about this Group, but what it looks like I'm interviewing for is a sort-of PWM internship at a megafund.
I've got a phone interview with their New York office coming up, and I have no idea what to expect. The work doesn't look technical and I'm a junior undergrad...but it's KKR and my interview is with an associate and another guy, not HR.
Anyone what questions to prep for beyond basic fit stuff?
Sounds very investor-relationy. Are you a sophmore? If so, could be a great way to leverage into a real PE internship if you network. However, if you are a junior/senior and your goal is IBD, this isn't going to do much for you. Provide more info and or PM me and I can help you further.
If you want the scoop on the real KKR (PE culture, etc.) look up 10xleverage's thread on his 2 year stint as a pre MBA associate (MS M&A analyst prior) to give you an idea of KKR.
Is this in the 9 building? I interviewed for the same exact position. PM me so we can talk over the weekend.
Pm'd both of you
Have you considered Goldman Sachs? I keep hearing that they're better with internships than KKR
never heard of him
then you my friend really are a chimp
