Knewton GMAT Prep
Any experience with Knewton's GMAT program (it is $389 currently)? I'm also looking at Veritas prep on demand, which I'm interested to hear about as well.
Thanks.

don't know about their course, but i took their CAT last year and the scoring was way off (took the official practice tests and the real test within the same week and scored ~100 points higher)
never took any course, but people here seem to love the manhattan gmat one
Hey all,
There's a nice collection of independent Knewton reviews that you can check out on Beat the GMAT:

Faustus, Knewton includes both live and on-demand lessons with every enrollment, so it could be a good fit for what you're looking for. Overall, most students find that their practice CATs are solid predictors of performance on test day.
Hope that helps!
Chris
Thanks, clearly you work for Knewton, which is fine – I was wondering if Knewton specializes in scoring in the upper percentiles of the GMAT like manhattan gmat, etc.?
Thanks.
Also, if there are any WSO opinions that would be great.
I read Knewton has a 50 point guarantee
Knewton/MGMAT/other CATs vs GmatPrep/real GMAT CAT? (Originally Posted: 08/25/2011)
Has anyone else noticed that their score seems to get facefucked on the Kaplan/Knewton/MGMAT CAT practice tests as opposed to the real GMAT and GMATPrep practice CATS?
I pulled a 700 last year and didnt know shit on the verbals for the most part (def wasnt my strength) and was scoring 700 710s on the CATs with less prep than i have now but so far ive gotten 660 and 640 on Knewton preps?!!?!?!? I'm gonna take a GMATPrep cat to hopefully put my mind at ease (esp since the scoring for each section with how many ive gotten wrong seems VERY wonky). but im wondering if everyone else has been kicked in the balls by the test prep companies CATs compared to the real one? i know they have incentive to make it look like your hard work pays off on the real one and i LIKE to think these questions are maybe a bit harder on average than the ones i normally got on the real gmat but this much of a ego deflation is kinda bad?!
I had a very similar experience with Kaplan and Manhattan GMAT. I became pretty frustrated and completely gave up on doing those CATs and practice questions. I relied entirely on the Official GMAT Guide and tried to make the most of those 2 official CATs.
All within a 1.5 week period:
Official 1: 760 Knewton: 680 Official 2: 780 Actual: 770
I'll let the numbers speak for themselves.
K good im glad others are reassuring me haha I was like wow am I that much of a fuck up?! Dublin was it a kick in the balls for you too when you saw the score?
