KPMG - Transferring Office
Last month I accepted a job offer from KPMG for a first year Associate position. I'll be starting in a couple weeks.
The job will be in a different town (about 300 miles from my hometown).
Today I saw that there's an opening for the same exact position in my hometown. Is it worth asking the recruiter if I could take the job here instead of the new town? Or would such a request compromise the already accepted offer?
If don't request the switch now, how long after I start can I ask to be transferred to the KPMG office in my hometown?
Hey sky2310, sorry about the delay, but are any of these useful:

I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
I've seen situations like this at a Big 4 firm. Unless you have some prior experience or have already worked there for 1-2 years, they likely won't be very supportive. Unless you meet those requirements, you're a commodity and they will not have any reason to have you lateral over to another office and then start recruiting again just to fill your headcount.
