Landing a job in Asset Management

Hi guys i have several questions in mind if you dont mind commenting , pls dont kill me

I hold a bachelor degree in finance and have been part of a wealth management team for discretionnary HNW individuals for the past 6 years in Canada

My responsabilities are as follow:
- Bond funds research, i narrow the research as much as i can with the fund criterias in which then products are analyzed and selected (peer comparaison, fund and manager track records, average coupin, duration etc...)
- sector and stock research (cyclical vs non cyclical position, div , p/e , value vs momentum etc) , the process is pretty much the same to the bonds for the analysis and the selection
- portfolio construction , all models are coded into the software (I used to work on ibalance now on croesus)
- portfolio trading, buying and selling positions, with the trade desk , bond desk, fundServ, etc...l
- monitoring and rebalancing
- client communication on what have been done (mailchimp etc...)
- tracking investents, evaluate them and decide whether or not we keep them or not
- dealing with compliance as well to justificate some of the positions

My question is as follow, there is no possibility I get a more interested position because the one right above is the firm's shareholders (PMs)

What should i do to get into asset management, where I could be an analyst associate and then become one if I prove i can do a good job and prove my models and justificate how i valuate stocks, i m also very open to other jobs since i am more than passionate about finance

If i could fit under your team , i could work for free to get a trained from people in the market

I had no time to consider taking the CFA but i am registered for L1 in 2019 and looking for L2 in June if i get L1

Also, what other certifications will look good on my resume?

Thanks folks
