Last Minute Interview Prep Help
I just got a call tonight for an interview with a smallish IB on the west coast. The guys apparently are total Chads and just told me the interview is tommorow.
Can anyone suggest some last minute materials or have known resources to prepare for technical or other IB type questions in a hurry?
I come from fortune 500 corp fi and havent had to do too many lbos or dcfs.
Any help is much appreciated.
I'm not sure if cramming right now is the right move. Maybe the BIWS 400 intro's, but if you don't have a strong background, then I'm not sure if those will do much good. Maybe basic investopedia and corporate finance intros?
In the future though, you should be prepared even before knowing when the interview is.
You don't have enough time to start cramming!
I would be honest about your experiences / skills and not exaggerate your ability to draft valuation models, but bring up why you're interested in developing the skillset and what steps you're currently taking to get up to speed. Emphasize the relevant skills you do have from your previous gig and how those skills will be allow you to hit the ground running in IB.
Good luck!
