Lateral hiring final round- not hear back
I had my final round interview for a lateral position on 1/21. I followed up 4 days later for an update. HR told me that the team is still actively interviewing and she doesn't know when they will make a decision. Please continue applying all positions of interest. Is this a bad sign? It has been 8-9 business days. The fact that she suggested me to apply makes it seem like they passed on me. The wait is just so nerve-wracking.
And do they usually send out rejections for lateral or they just ghost candidates?
