Lateral Shift from no-name boutique to BB or well-known middle market by leveraging MFE?
Hi fellow bankers,
I graduated from a non-target school but was fortunate enough to network my way into a no-name boutique bank located in downtown Toronto. While the experience is great, I've learned quite a few things about ECM. But after spending almost a year here, I feel like its time to try to break into bigger banks. And some of my friends have recommended me to go for the MFE program offered by UofT, because of their reputable branding in the industry (compensates my lack of target school background). For those of you who are familiar or have attended this program, what are your thoughts about leveraging this program to break into BB IB roles (or big five banks IBD here in Canada)
