Latin America IBK

Hey guys,
I'm interested in working FT in a LATAM coverage group at a top bank in NYC. I've been looking around and have learned that several bulge bracket firms like DB and ML have strong LATAM groups. I also noticed that Greenhill has a LATAM practice. In your opinion, which bank has the top LATAM coverage group? Would it be possible to enter into one of these straight out of undergrad or would I have to enter a IBK program and then transfer?

Any help you can give me in learning more about this sector would be greatly appreciated.

UBS is the top bank in Brazil (since its purcahse of Pactual) and dominant throughout the rest of LatAm. I have worked with the LatAM-NYC coverage group and they are a strong group. I don't know their exact mandate, but from what I did with them they were basically the liason, between the local bankers and North American Capital markets. From talking to some of their bankers at the junior level I also found out that they travelled quite a bit.
