Learning how different REPE funds operate, raise, and deploy capital

I am looking to get more educated how REPE funds vary in the ways they raise and deploy capital. I encounter this on the high level with my current gig, but I am curious if anyone has information/white papers that gives a great overview of how a REPE fund operates. I would like to know enough that I could talk to my other peers in the industry in detail about how their REPE firm operates.
