Learning to Invest in Financial Institutions
Anyone here in FIG of with experience in Financial Institutions PE / investment able to recommend some reading material on FI investment theory? I'm particularly interested in learning about what kinds of modeling/valuation methodologies come into play, and also in gaining some insights on how to manage banks and other FI's once you've invested... I know nothing about it.
I've got literally 47 hours of flight time schedule over the next few weeks, so I'm looking for something thick.
Still think that Damodaran offers a good intro to the topic. Keen to see what else people recommend here.
