Leaving Post-MBA Position 1 Year After Grad

Created a burner account for this for some additional anonymity. I did a search around and had trouble finding a thread that matched well.

Current situation is I graduated with my MBA last summer after spending the two years prior to going back as a pre-MBA Associate. I am now approaching the 1 year mark at a new PE firm in NYC and candidly I do not like some of the internal dynamics and am looking around questioning a number of the recent investment decisions as well as some internal operations points. I am still undecided if PE will be my long-term career (I am late 20s) but feel it is still the right place to be, but not with this firm especially if I end up sticking out for the long-haul, building my brand and carry alike.

Has anyone here been in a similar position. Took a post-MBA job that looked like a nice fit and opportunity but then began realizing you're less in alignment with them than thought? My issue is my firm is not actively looking for others at my level or junior Associates so I am aiming to minimize burning bridges as much as possible, which I realize I most likely will be doing regardless given I am going to be lateraling. I don't have any specific questions but would really appreciate thoughts to approach in terms of both looking for other opps (I've basically been using my own network and also speaking to select recruiters) and handling things with the firm you're leaving.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
