Let go from Boutique Firm and looking for next opportunity

Just found out that the firm brought in senior consultants and are no longer keeping me on. I'm an associate consultant, just graduated from undergrad from top b-school in Canada (Ivey/Queens) and started at the boutique in August. I'm completely lost with this blind side hit and I wanted to reach out for some direction on some opportunities I can pursue given the timing and current market conditions. I appreciate the help.

That sucks bro, I have no advice rather than go back to square one if consulting is what you want. Maybe look at off cycle internships coming up. Stay strong

Silver lining: A firm that let's you go after 4 months is not a firm you want to be part of

Sorry to hear. I am sure you can bounce back, and maybe even find something better.

You don't have to answer these questions on here, but maybe helpful things to think about: Do you have contacts in the industry who could refer you to firms? Classmates? Do you still have access to ivey/ queens job portal that you can check for listings? Are there alumni you can contact? Are there other industries you could try out/ have contacts? Have you looked at F500 strategy positions? Are there smaller companies that you could work at with lower compensation in the immediate term so that you can have steady work history?

In addition, I know some companies like LEK are recruiting with start dates in Q1 2021. There seems to be good news on the vaccine front, so I think the hope a lot of people have is that things will start to rebound soon, and firms will have increased demand quickly.
