Let other firms know I have an offer?

Recently received an experienced hire offer I'm likely to accept. Would any of you normally let other firms you're talking with know you received an offer?

I'm not trying to get another offer out of it, but I don't want to come off as discourteous by not giving them a heads up/chance to make an offer before I make my final choice, especially where there seems to be a strong connection.

Usually the phrase "I'm getting to the final stages with other companies" is a nice way of saying it.

This way, it lets the person you're speaking with feel informed instead of feel threatened, while knowing they have to speed up their timeline. And then if you do get a second offer, it's a natural transition for you to start making them compete.

Just had my trade dispute rejected by Schwab for a loss of 35k. This single issue alone should be a gigantic red flag to anyone who trades on their platform. If they have a system error, and you do not video record your trading (they actually said this), they will not honour their fuck up. Switching everything away from them. Fuck this company.

Got it. Thanks for your input. I like that phrasing.
