Leveraged Lending Portfolio Manager - Career Path / Questions

Hi All,

I tried scouring the forums to find more information about "Credit Portfolio Managers" but was not able to find much.

I was curious if anyone had any insight on the following for a Leveraged Lending Portfolio Manager at a Boutique Direct Lender:

  • Day to day (checking on firms credit investments with sponsors, updating reporting packages, enacting loan amendments, etc)...is this interesting work or admin?
  • What a career path would look like as you advance? Exit opportunities?
  • What is compensation at the different levels of one's career?

Thanks for the input.
