Lineage Organizations on Resume

Hi WSO,

What do you think about putting lineal organizations such as sons of the american revolution or the mayflower society on a resume? I would but it in the bottom extra information section of the resume, above interests and under credentials. Here's my thoughts on the PRO/CON:

PRO: Shows an interest in history and identity. "WASPY" side could come accross well in finance. Could spark conversation about (similar) family background with interviewers (I actually come from a low income household). Also non-profits that invest in historical preservation, so it does have a charitable component.

CON: SJW types thinking that these organizations represent white priviledge (or racism). Be seen as elitist. It could also be a waste of space if it doesnt have an impact on people's opinions.

TL;DR: Would you put lineal organizations on your resume?
