LinkedIn Stalking

Hi All,

I jumped on LinkedIn yesterday only to find that an MD I interviewed with circa 1 year ago was perusing my profile. Curiosity set in as to why this guy would take the time to look at my profile, so I checked out the company's career page. Coincidentally enough, his group has an opening for an analyst. Two questions then arose:

1) Am I looking to far into this?

2) Should I shoot him a note via linkedin expressing interest?

Let me know your thoughts. Thx.

LinkedIn will tell you on your profile. I think you have to have the mthly package or something like that, but it's absolutely great to see. This one analyst who I worked with 2.5+ years ago, continues to go on my profile like once every 2 months. Sometimes it's a good feeling to see how obsessed people are about you and your career trajectory. I get off on that.

LinkedIn lets you see up to 5 people who have viewed your profile if you just have the free membership level. They'll let you see the entire list if you have one of the paid subscriptions.

It's cool to see who's looked at your profile. Unfortunately, the description of who's looked at your profile can be a little vague depending on what preferences the other user has set.

probably so, no harm trying aint it? But a nicer way is to send him a note to reignite his memories and then proceed to ask on the opportunity if you have a chance to. Guess thats the best way.
