Lobbying position at a large financial institution - worth it or not?
Hey fellow monkeys,
I would like to ask about your opinion on inhouse lobbying roles (government relations team) at large financial institution (think BB, exchanges etc.). I have background in politics and finance, so I think this could be a good personal fit. I'm going to have an interview for such role soon (analyst level).
My question is - is it worth it? Does any of you have an idea how much do these guys get paid compared to front office roles (IB, WM, AM) at large banks? What are the hours like? And do you have an idea on how does this compare to work at lobbying firms?
My alternative is MBB (I have an offer) and possibly front office roles in banks.
Thank you for your advice!
