Hi everyone, I am a first year student and I was recently told about the London School of Economics Emerging Markets Forum.
I cannot find any feedback or thoughts on the event, apart from Facebook reviews. I am fairly new and I don’t know about all events and having in mind I can only go to 1 or 2 a year, should I sign up and attend? Is this one of the must visits or is it BS?

Has anyone heard of/gone to the Emerging Markets Forum held by the London School of Economics? I applied out of curiousity a couple weeks ago, as the conference seems have an interesting variety of speakers (including the former Chairman of Global Markets at JPM), networking opportunities, and workshops. I received an invitation this morning, but they don't accommodate for flights or hotel. I have the financial ability to travel out to London (I currently go to school in the US), but want to make sure it is worth the money. Anyone have any insight?

Would it be a waste to go at all? Also, I've never been to the UK before, so it seems like it could be a good experience regardless.
I think it'll be a unique experience. You may not gain too much knowledge from going, but it'll definitely be something interesting to talk about in future interviews / something niche being a US student that you can put on your CV.
