Long-term Remote Work in Trading?
Currently a quant trader for an options market maker. I really enjoy my job and the people I work with, but I hate the city. It seems very difficult to find anything similar that isn't in NY or Chicago (or even SF/Philly). Every day I daydream of quitting to a place in a nicer area or being able to work remotely, but it doesn't seem like my place has any interest in letting us do that.
Are there any real trading firms (read: not arcade shops) setting up for long term remote work? If I could take a 50% paycut to work remotely, I'd take it without a second thought.
