Longest time between superday and hearing back for a HF?

I had a superday for a large institutional credit shop in SF about a month ago that went well and got called in for another superday two weeks ago to meet additional people in as a "check the box" thing. Feedback was positive throughout the process and at the end of the second superday HR told me to start thinking about my start date and how much my moving expenses would be since I live in NY.

I followed up and HR has been emailing me every few days over the last 2 weeks telling me its "just going to be a few more days" before they have an answer for me. I am not sure if they are interviewing other people or if its paperwork (I would need a TN visa so I get that it may take longer vs an American citizen). Has anyone waited 2+ weeks to hear back from a HF and got the job? I know banking offers come quickly but some of my friends told me its normal for buy side to take a bit longer since they are likely interviewing other people as well...
