Looking for a finance role in Philadelphia with less than a years experience
So a long story short, I graduated last may (2017) from a non-target but solid business school. I took a job in NYC near where I grew up on Long Island. However, the job is a back office operations role at a major asset management firm. I unfortunately am not crazy about the role as It involves more accounting/operations than I.t does finance...
I also am regretting the idea to move back to the New York area as well. My heart is truly set on Philadelphia cause I am familiar with It, love the low cost of living and have close friends who moved there post grad. I am dead-set on moving to philly and have been applying to jobs in the Philadelphia area for months that are non-operations finance opportunities, however haven't been getting much interest back. So my question to you guys is It too early to try and switch roles being less than a year in? Am i doing the right thing getting ahead of the application process or just wasting my time?
