seems like you have given it a lot of thoughts already and I agree with all the pros and cons that you've listed.
since you say you have 15 months of work experience, i'm assuming you're pretty fresh out of undergrad? I think in that case a FT MBA would make sense because you're early in your career, so plenty of time for it to pay off. FT MBA is really helpful for helping you transition industry, cities, and building out a network. since you want to go to NYC/Bos, I think attending a school in the NE and exploring your career options in a full time program would be great.
Obviously you lose out on your employer's tuition support. But try to kill the GMAT and come up with a compelling story for the adcom and you might make it up with some scholarship money. This guy in the article got a full ride to UVA with a 680 GMAT
