Looking for help from the forum
Hi, so I am a co-founder of an early stage startup. We are working on an Asset Management/ invest accounting solution for multifamily investors.
In a nutshell, investors/ firms who use external property management (PM) companies, have a challenge. Many time the PM uses different property accounting software than the investor. In this case, the "transition" from one accounting system to another is done using spreadsheets (a lot of bookkeeping). AM also have a challenge trying to create cash flow reports (tracking assets in large spreadsheets) that they can analyze based on different PM accounting systems.
My team and I are working on a software solution that integrates PM software and popular accounting systems (such as QuickBooks).
I was wondering if anyone with some AM experience/ accounting experience would like to provide some feedback or chat?
Let's connect!
appfolio?
Appfolio is great for property management but very poor as an investment accounting software.
So, if I am understanding this correctly information from Geneva to quickbooks?
I think I want to say yes but I do not know Geneva.
Please structure your software so I don't have to pull my teeth out as I spend 30 minutes reformatting crappy Yardi PDF rent rolls into excel with 350 tenants so I can update my analysis
But then you miss out on all the fun of using v/h lookups, countifs, sumifs, offsets, and replace all.
If you're in multifamily, get ResiModel dawg. That shit saves hours of my life.
ResiModel is a great piece of software. I saw it been used for underwriting, analyzing static t-12 and RR.
The worst is when they include the lease charges.
