Lost FT offer, which industries are set up to succeed once this is done
Title says it. Lost FT offer in real assets due to market uncertainty. Which industries should I target for new job search that are poised for growth after this virus is all said and done, or stick with the same area?
Tech, google, Facebook, Microsoft, amazon
This isn't true for tech in general which is an extremely volatile industry unless you are a behemoth like Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, etc. If you look at the last crisis San Fransisco office rents were far and away down more than any of the other major MSAs. In general any of the MSA heavily exposed to tech, energy and financial services are the most volatile in an economic downturn.
Best bet right now is probably counter cyclical market like Washington DC with the federal government or an industry heavily tied to federal government spending.
Missed the part about industries poised to bounce back after the virus. With that said it'll like be the same volatile industries that I mentioned are vulnerable in a downturn that benefit most from a rapidly growing economy.
home food delivery is doing great, and set to go viral
