LP to GP - What would it take?

I am curious to understand, from the perspective of WSO'ers who are currently working at GPs, what would it take for you to consider bringing on people (at the Associate/VP level) from an LP, assuming this individual would have direct transaction experience and has been managing various assets in the portfolio throughout their tenure?

I appreciate the common sentiment that most GPs don't want to mess up the relationship with the LP over hiring someone from their end but I know that my group (especially my seniors) has an encouraging and understanding culture when it comes to career progression.

Would appreciate any insight
