LSE (MRR) vs Imperial College London (MFin)
I was recently offered admission into LSE's MSc Regulation and Management of Risk ( risk management) and Imperial College London's MSc Finance program. I think in the UK both schools are considered top schools but i'm not sure how employers in North America think about these 2 schools in the area of finance (or even know about these schools....
I guess the part that makes my decision difficult is that I’m deciding between 2 different programs... (i think risk management is an interesting area to be in but i'm a bit worried that doing a master program in that area may restrict my job options. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance (btw, my undergrad degree is in finance)
Thanks
what are your professional goals?
actually i'm kind of interested in becoming a risk manager but, considering the limited number of jobs available upon graduation, I'm not sure if it'll be a wise decision...
The major will have ZERO effect on your recruiting chances in any financial field, as long as it's something somewhat related to finance, economics, or quantitative matters. So you should simply pick either:
A) The school you like better (or) B) The name brand that you think will give you the best chance for recruiting
thanks for the insight... does anyone happen to know the reputation of these two schools in north america? thanks
From a UK point of view, Imperial all the way.
really? imperial is better than LSE...
