LSE MSc Finance chances?
Hey guys,
Kind of struck out with recruiting so decided to pursue a master's. I have decent work experience and sat the GMAT to reduce the negative effect of my degree grades in my first 2 years (LSE state that most people have a 1st) - got a good score but not standout. What you do you guys think my chances might be - will my university grades affect me a lot?
Profile:
Degree: Economics + Language, 2:2 in 1st year, high 2:1 in 2nd year
University: Target (Non-Oxbridge/LSE)
Previous Experience: Work experience at small firms + 1 IBD SA at BNP/Nomura/RBC (No FT offer)
GMAT: 710
Thanks in advance

Why would you say 0? What if I retook GMAT and got a 750+ score? Cheers
I was just being realistic.
Even with a 750 it would be likely that you would be rejected. LSE is very academical, so they focus a lot on grades. Without a 1st, I'd say that it is quite unlikely, even if you have a stellar GMAT.
By contrast, you would be well positioned for LBS's MFA, as they tend to give more weight to work exp and GMAT.
