Lying about your graduation year to get an internship
How common is this?
I'm sure people pull the whole graduating early thing and then decide they aren't graduating early after the internship.
If HR finds out you are for all practical purposes fucked and the offer will be rescinded, am I correct?

Many of my classmates (Class of 2014) are putting Class of 2013 on their transcript, implying they plan to graduate early. Therefore in the recruitment process they are regarded as juniors. Do recruiters look favorably/unfavorably upon early graduation and how do they know you are ACTUALLY going to graduate early?
What are they applying for? I'm guessing it's not for full-time positions since it sounds like they're only implying and not actually graduating early?
They will be questioned about it if they make it to the interview.
I know a few people who did this. Worked for some, others got screwed once they were offered their "full time". Since they had to go back to school, they pretty much ruined their relationship with that bank
I've heard of someone doing this at Wharton. Resulted in a lot of first round interviews and basically no second round ones. It also makes you look pretty untrustworthy if the same people are looking at your resume next year.
yup this was for summer internships (for firms that only recruit juniors)
