Mali conflict

Some of you might wonder how 50 flip flop wearing terrorists riding on 1970's Toyotas were able to take over half of Mali's territory.

Here's a glimpse as to why that might of happened. The Malian army is pretty much non-existent and your Tea Party neighbour probably have more bullets in his home than the entire Mali's military.

In this video, we can see them having to train without the use of ammunition. Instead, to save ammo, they emulate the sound of bullets to recreate that war environment.

It reminded me of the old days when me & my buddies used to play cops and robbers. Either way, the soldiers in this video have a promising career as sound voiceovers in reggae songs (I noticed that, for whatever reason, jamaicans love to hear the sound of bullets in their music).

Enjoy.

In the same spirit of things, I found this official promotional video of the Gabonese army.

They're trying to encourage kids to join the military engineers corp with this homemade videoclip.
