MasterCard to IB?
Hey guys, would like your input and want to apologize in advance if this is a stupid question. I'm a senior econ major and haven't had too much luck with full-time opps in IB. In the process of interviewing for MasterCard and was wondering what the possibilities are like coming out of a 2 year Associate Analyst program going into Investment Banking. Promise I'm not trolling, I'm genuinely curious. I want nothing more than to pursue banking, and I know that very clearly, but will the odds be stacked even further against me if i were to pursue this MasterCard opp? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
depends on what you'll be doing at Mastercard what's the role?
Best bet is coming in as a new analyst with all the new ungrad graduates in 2016, but even then it might be difficult if you dont have direct experience. Best bet, is MBA then into IB.
If you're up for more schooling, try a MS in Finance program. Olin Business School has a relatively more qualitative program than most other schools. It's a 1 year program and if you can afford it and get in (it's competitive), it might be easier to get placed
