Mastering the Laws of the Universe: How to Speak Your Thoughts into Existence

I'm someone without any sort of spiritual or religious background. However, I recently read a really great book called The Master Key, where the author talks about the Laws of the Universe, and how to apply them.

I'll let others research and learn about them if they're interested, but the ones that I found the most intriguing and relevant to my own life: the Law of Attraction and the Law of Rhythm.

The Law of Attraction is the idea that your mind is a magnet to what you want in life, that we attract into our lives what we focus on. All thoughts turn into things eventually. If you can master your thoughts, then you can realize, or put the moving parts in motion, to bring about your ideal, material reality. Sub-consciously, things like your attitude, or your thoughts, eventually shape your actions, and that shapes your outcomes.

Therefore, it follows from this idea, that your mind is the key to success. If you change the way you think about the world, you can change who you are, basically. With this in mind, I've spent a lot more time in my mind, thinking about myself, my goals, rather than what other people are doing, or the drama going on around me, and I have been a lot more productive. Wanting and craving is how you become successful, and how you feel good about yourself and stay motivated to achieve your goals.

Another one is Law of Rhythm, that everything has seasonal fluctuations. The aspect that's interesting is that, those who are able to master this Law of the Universe, because of their knowledge of life's cyclical nature never become too excited or too upset.. I thought this was pretty interesting, because anyone in investing knows that you should never let your emotions cloud your judgment, and emotional management is huge in fields like trading.

I have just started studying the Laws of the Universe, and I've noticed that I'm a lot more motivated and productive than I was before. I deleted some of my social media and sold my television, which I believe both represent things that prevent you from applying the Law of Attraction, and have spent a lot more time in my mind.

Any thoughts?

My take on books such as these is it's a self-fulfilling prophecy almost. You are reading these books in order to become more knowledgeable, productive, and aware of what you are capable of. So I would imagine you would see improvement after reading a book telling you to think more deeply about your goals and your work ethic. I don't think they are inherently bad but rather they help guide people using the same principles that we've always known, just in a different format.

I agree, but I think it might be more complicated than that. The problem is a lot of people don't actually internalize this basic advice, they just assume they know it. But they don't think about it in a more complex way, the idea that your thoughts eventually lead to actions, and then those actions compound on what you've already done, and so just changing your thinking can radically change your outcomes in the long run.

People will tell and sell you many ways to improve your life and achieve your wildest dreams. I personally believe every single one. Sometimes I feel like it takes too long to pray every morning to God, Allah, Tom Cruise, Oprah, Laws of Attraction, All Those Confusing Ass Hindu Motherfuckers, Atheism As A Concept, Hard Work And Grit Like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Elon Musk, Amazon's Leadership Principles, Dale Carnegie, etc... but at the end of the day I sleep well knowing I have my bases covered.

In all seriousness, find what works for you- complement your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses until you have a happy balance. (Then watch it all crumble to shit, pick yourself back up and do it again. )If you find that tibetian buddhism preaches things that you need to hear, by all means shave your head and don a robe for awhile. It sounds like reading about these Laws of the Universe is good for you right now, just don't expect everyone else to agree with you on it.
