MBA for IBD

……………..………………..………………..………………..………………..………………..………………..………………..…………………………………….,,,……………………………………………….

There are some great schools in the SEC- Vanderbilt, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, etc.

You do need a good MBA to get into IB in NYC or Chicago. You need to figure out where you want to work and live though.

Michigan, Purdue, and Rice all have a great online MBA programs. My advice would be to get your MBA online, live at home, and find a substantial finance job- as an advisor, broker, or banker. You will save on costs and at this time learning is way more important than raking up debt. Once you graduate, then move.

Online isn't worth it.  You should really consider an in person MBA.   If you want to stay in the south UNC,Duke, Texas, Rice, etc  is a pretty safe bet with your stats so long as you scores. Your GRE score is definitely good enough to get into some top 15 mbas though and should truly consider it.

Go for the best ranked MBA program you can, it will give you flexibility to work in any office.

An online program won't help you pivot to IB. IB is highly structured and online isn't included in the IB recruiting process. Even if you did online and managed to get an interview, without the full time interview prep resources you would be at a disadvantage.

For your stats, Johnson and Stern should be top of your list for IB. Apply as early as possible and rock out the essays.

Others should be Darden, Duke, UNC, Rice, McCombs.

I would apply to those 7 programs, maybe throw in a T10/m7 if you're feeling luck, and call it.
