MBA > MA + BSc in Finance?
I just turned 25 and will graduate with an MA in Business Journalism (half the classes are MBA courses) from a target school in December.
Having gotten a BSc from the same target school, majoring in finance in 2007, I just wanted to brush up my writing after the boutique investment bank I was at (as an analyst) restructured.
Now I want to break into investment banking, and am wondering if I should apply now and get an analyst position (I am assuming that's what I can aim for), or apply to get an MBA as well, and apply as an associate two years from now.
Do you think an MBA is worth that much more than an MA and BSc in finance? Would I have to go back to get an MBA anyway if I want to stick with IB?
