MBA Programs- what are they known for?
Hey everyone,
Recently graduated a semi target and considering doing an MBA down the line. Working for Big 4 transactions/valuations and I’m happy with the group for the time being, but interested in doing banking/buy side/consulting down the line. I’ve had informational chats with a few MBA candidates recently to just hear about their programs, what they like/dislike, etc.
I think this thread could be useful for finding out what each MBA program is “known for”.
Example-
“Carnegie Mellon: takes in about a third of UG Engineering Majors. Big focus on blending the STEM background with a business acumen. While those who recruit for banking can generally get in, most of the MBA’s go off into the tech world as high level executives.”
Not really looking for the “is it worth it” conversation but more so the types of people coming through the doors at each program, as that’s what I’d ultimately find most valuable from dropping the $$$ on an MBA. Definitely looking for serious answers but if you want to troll me I’m sure we could all use a good laugh.
