MBA: Study Abroad

I'm curious if anyone here has any experience with doing a study abroad type program with their MBA? Lots of MBA programs have links to all their partner schools and programs but I was curious if anyone actually does them and gets a substantial experience from them? In theory a lot of the top schools partners with tops schools abroad so one could experience two tops MBA programs and maybe even tap into the alumni pools of both schools. Also, would having the short international experience be preferential for employers (both domestic and international), or since MBA's are only 2 years is it a disadvantage to leave for a period of time?

I studied abroad my junior spring of undergrad and had a great time, but I wasn't sure how to compare that experience to a MBA study abroad.

If anyone has any insights on their experience with doing study abroad I would love to hear it!

I did not study abroad in business school, but I know about 20 classmates who did. All had great experiences and did a ton of traveling (I know people who did exchanges in Europe, Asia, and Africa). At my school, it usually happens your final spring semester. It’s all personal preference - obviously you miss out on building relationships with the majority of your class back on campus for a semester, but you get to travel and meet new people.
