MBA vs Msc
Hi all, I have been working for a startup (sourcing) in Hong Kong over the past 5 years and am looking to pivot into the finance industry, preferably an IB role. I have an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering and have a decent coding and mathematics background. I am 27 years old. I have a 710 GMAT score.
I recently got both into the Tepper MBA program in the United States and the Executive Msc in International Finance at the University of Amsterdam. I know Tepper is probably the better ranked program, I am just not sure if their brand is strong enough in Europe to justify the price tag... Weirdly enough many employers in the Netherlands (not sure about the rest of Europe) also seem to have a strong preference for Msc over MBA's... I am not a US citizen so pivoting into finance in the US will probably be difficult, even though I wouldn't mind working in the States. I have also applied to LBS Msc in Finance but will not be hearing from them until July.
Just wondering what you guys think is the wise decision here.
