MBA with double majors in Finance and Marketing

As I am going through my MBA experience, I am discovering that I have diverse interests. Initially I was only focused on finance careers. I think the reason was that I was never exposed to marketing before so now as I am taking courses in marketing I am feeling that I have interest in marketing as well. I am making my mind to do a double major in finance and marketing. I want to know how this will be perceived by finance recruiters. Is it a good idea to mention your double major for finance jobs?

GutShot:
They won't care, just say you chose it out of genuine interest to broaden your exposure to business.
This. I chose Finance and Marketing in undergrad and literally used the exact sentence above during recruiting. It was always a positive.
I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

I don't think there is any stigma associated with this, within reason. I'm a first year looking to do Analytic Finance and Operations. Marketing is also on my radar.

With that said, I dualed in Finance and Accounting for undergrad, completed the CFA exams, and have only worked in Finance (HF Analyst and S&T). I am not worried that taking a few marketing courses will make me look like I have conflicting interests.

Are you talking about doing an MSF and an MBA or are you talking about doing two concentrations?

I think an MSF and an MBA is revisiting much of the same material and would recommend leaning towards an MFE instead if your school has a strong program. As for two concentrations within an MBA, I will defer to other posters who are probably more familiar with this than I am.
