The BCG resource above is good. Assuming you’re at a full consulting target (Warwick is not a target, unlike finance, and UCL has not been a full target for BCG (and Bain?) but is for McKinsey), you should get the online tests given you have internship experience. These aren’t easy, and a lot of people from targets fail these.

Only thing I would say is get someone who has been through consulting recruiting successfully to look over your resume. A different style is needed to finance, much more results driven. Also don’t make all your bullet points finance focused, display yourself as a generally interesting person (sports, volunteering, etc). Societal/voluntary leadership roles (as the BCG thing shows, but same across all MBB) are an important thing to have on your resume and pretty much essential for personal experience interviews.

Very wrong, and just look at the BCG thing above if you need proof. Imperial is a full target and has excellent placement, LSE has struggled with McKinsey relative to the other G5 but is still a full target, UCL isn’t a BCG target but is very much so for McKinsey. Bain is probably the most Oxbridge-centric but Imperial and LSE are still full targets. Course doesn’t really matter much tbh.

how the hell did you achieve that? what do you think got you so many interviews
