MBB/Top Tier Consulting hopeful: What to do pre-MBA?

I was recently admitted to 2 top 10-15 FT MBA programs with 3 YOE in middle office strategy at a BB and I will be pivoting to strategy consulting post-MBA.

Both schools have active management consulting student orgs and I plan to grind once I have matriculated, but since I will be on the lower end in terms of YOE, I want to do everything I can to make sure I am competing for top tier internships.

How should I be spending my time leading up to orientation(~mid-August)? Pre-MBA Internship (I am not part of a diversity group)? Specific style of networking? Case interview prep? Volunteer work? Something else?
