McKinsey Interviewer-led Case Question

Are all McKinsey interviews led by the interviewer for internships, or does it depend on the round? What about the first interview round? My friend is preparing right now and I just want to help him out any way I can. Thanks guys for making me sound smarter than I really am (but that's the whole point of our existence right?)

Even if it's "interviewer-led," if it doesn't feel like you're the one leading the case, you're doing it wrong.

My understanding is that the 1st round is fit + case, just like the later rounds, except that those also add some different business situation/behavioral type interviews, but I'm no expert.
