I interviewed for SDLI but my first round didn't go well so I didn't get a final round. Also from a target Ivy (HYP). I think they're really only looking for GPA, I had a 3.7 and had no relevant experience. In terms of networking, I only went to the info session but didn't follow up with any of the consultants. Honestly it seemed like it was a little random who they selected for a first-round.

prolly random selection first round. im from a top 5 LAC, 3.8 gpa, no networking, got first round. messed up case so no final round. just apply and see what happens. also keep an eye out for BCG's soph internship.

Use your critical thinking skills in this situation. 1. You got a target 2. Are part of a minority group 3. Are smart enough to get into a target.

Here is what you do, go on LinkedIn, search your school and Mck and find people who went through SDLI if that is too limiting find someone who is ethnically similar to you and from your school and reach out them. People love people helping their own

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

They will want to see you interning somewhere this summer 17. Program is highly competitive because of the very few slots available. Probably more competitive than normal MBB internships
